I recognize that Venezuela is not unique in suffering from government oppression; but having many happy memories of getting married there and sharing so much with wonderful locals makes their pain feel all the worse.

evening Q sters,
a sunny, but very windy day. took rodent's hamster to the vet today. she had been very depressed since her daughter died. she seemed to be coming out of it, but then she seemed to have wet tail. rodent got some drops from the pet store for it & she seemed better, but rodent was noticing some blood mixed in with the wood chips, hence trip to vet. vet figure she has a urinary track infection & prescribed some strawberry-banana flavoured anti-biotics. she loves the strawberry-banana yogurt drops, but doesn't like the strawberry-banana anti-biotics. later we headed down to my parents to visit for a while. they're getting ready for their trip to Mexico. warmth, sunny, tropicals drinks, sand, ocean...............sigh.
what a hoot that the US lost to Finland. i can't believe that they are that sucky. it was like "if we can't win Gold, then we're taking are puck & sticks & going home". i don't think our guys would be so diva like to throw the game. they are suppose to be professional players, they get paid way too much to "entertain" us. a medal is something to be proud of, just because they couldn't play for the Gold, shouldn't mean getting a Bronze is a disgrace.
