great stories, spartacus and k-t. i remember that drive-in on esna park, too.
so many things have changed. most drive ins have disappeared. sam's, honest ed's, world's biggest book store not to mention some great places to see fabulous music - the gasworks, molson's amphitheatre when it was free with adm and had the revolving stage!
what do you miss most?

There is one in Midland still (I think). There is an old home on highway 12 that has been turned into a used bookstore. My daughter and I would spend hours at a time inside on rainy days looking for good reads.... I'll look to see if it's still there next time we're up north.....

I know it's soooooo sad. I love reading paper books. Don't know what I'm going to do. I'm a rebel so watch out you computer bookworms, PAPERBACK BOOKWORMS ARE HERE TO STAY. YAHHHHHHH!!!!!! SPARTACUS SAYS SO!!!!!! OTHERWiSE OFF TO THE COLLISEUM WITH YOU. FIGHT THE GLADIATORS TO THE DEATH or the life of paperbacks!!!!! NEVER STOP READING. My nephew Davey is almost 5 years old and he is not being taught to write in school only to print. They are all typing and texting in their own lingo. They all have a tablet or smartphone. That is so wrong. What is happening to this world. Totally messed up??????

Was here for many bands and many more beers!! My hangout bar was the Yonge Station Tavern at St Charles St. and Yonge St. Where the Brass Rail is now. I was 17 and they served me all the time. Too many charges for minor drinkers. That is why they closed down. My dad's friend was one of the lawyers for the Yonge Station Tavern. Never to be forgotten. I have a match pack still from the Yonge Station.
