have i mentioned lately, brain is definitely somewhere else
that we had a ton of static on the bell phone land line,
called in and was told someone would come over to check, a few days
later, had a note saying it was our NID box, bell line was ok
and that we had to open it with a screwdriver to check
what was wrong - ie our equipment?
whf, no one has ever touched it.
so off i went with magnifying glass, (oh i lost my glasses) and what i hoped
would help,,,
anyway i checked the box, or what i thought it was, couldn't open it,

found out yesterday that the phone to my dad's school house was NOT shut off
for 6 months, this line was, (yes both lines are in his name),,,
but geee can they really be so stupid???
and so slow at reconnecting, YES they can.
so been about a week since my phone call which of course did nothing,
person comes out checks the line, says it's us, but can't check the NID box?

Still traveling around Turkey, weather still warm, some rain today while walking around Aphrodisias, the old city with a museum with many original statues etc.

Drove to Izmir where we are now right by the Agean sea.

A SPAGHETTI LOVE STORY

For several years, a man was having an affair with an Italian woman.
One night, she confided in him that she was pregnant.



Not wanting to ruin his reputation or his marriage, he said he would pay her a large sum of money if she would go to Italy to secretly have the child.



Furthermore, if she stayed in Italy to raise the child, he would also provide child support until the child turned 18.



She agreed, but asked how he would know when the baby was born. To keep it discreet, he told her to simply mail him a post card, and write 'Spaghetti' on the back. He would then arrange for the child support payments to begin.



One day, about 9 months later, he came home to his confused wife.



'Honey, she said, 'you received a very strange post card today.'



'Oh, just give it to me and I'll explain it later,' he said.



The wife obeyed and watched as her husband read the card, turned white, and fainted.



On the card was written:

Spaghetti, Spaghetti, Spaghetti, Spaghetti, Spaghetti.

Three with meatballs, two without.



Send extra sauce.
