good morning, terrific looking day out there
thinking neighbours are wondering why i throw out
bread for the raccoons, when crazy maddy cat is outside.
silly them - i am so hoping the raccoons would take maddy
    away, and her friend jessie.
hell they almost look like raccoons - although now that i think
about it the cats wouldn't do so well on the birdseed, darn.

    Just wondering...
I have a Shark Navigator (bagless upright type). It does a fair job at getting the carpets clean and is lightweight (the hose isn't quite long enough, so there are times I have to lift the vacuum so I can clean the fur off the popcorn ceiling ). Two drawbacks - the roller brushes (whatever the thingy on the bottom of the vacuum is called) has to be cleaned regularly to keep the hair caught around it from impeding its movement (I do a quick 5 minute check every couple of days & I use the vacuum at least twice a day) and the cord has a tendency to kink and then fray (there are no issues if you keep the cord rolled up on the machine - I leave it loose during shedding season so I can quickly vacuum up tufts of fur in the hallway, sometimes 10x a day). The machine cost around $100 on sale at Canadian Tire a few years back (I'm not sure, but I think it's 4 yrs old and still performing nicely). Keep in mind, I do have a small space (less than 600 sq ft, maybe 450 sq ft of carpet at the most).

With my previous vacuum (Bissel, supposedly for critter fur), I would have to brush the carpet first to get all the hair loose enough to use the vacuum.

    Hope this helps.

    Good morning, everyone.

Last night's fireworks were very pretty. I have a teeny (approx 4in wide) window facing east, so I can get a glimpse of the larger fireworks at Ashbridges Bay. Lily dog & I enjoyed the show, while Quincy cat glared at us for disturbing his beauty sleep.

I'm off to see Titanic tonight - Ben Hepner is performing in the musical so it should be a treat. And yes, I've been teased about my choice of theatre before I go on a cruise.

I'm running late, Lily dog & I spent a bit more time than I intended spying on the neighbours. Oh well, she is a happy pup, which is all that matters.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Nice pictures Andi, I wasn't feeling quite up to par last night so, we admired a pretty good amateur light show from our little backyard. Maggie hid upstairs in my closet. There are so many critters who do not like fireworks.

Today is treatment day. I have to psych myself up for this. I am very glad that it is a home week, but nonetheless I must maintain this regiment. I don't know if it is the drug itself or my determination that is keeping my condition stable. My eyes are still giving what I would call grief.

Thought I would share a pic of our lovely tree. It was taken a few days ago & it is loosing its blossoms fast & furious now, but it is so pretty when it is blooming.

    Have a great Tuesday.
