Reminds me of our cat who is also similarly playful and unpredictable.

Meet me in the cafeteria for lunch & bring a pocket full of change,
We’ll dance like there’s no tomorrow; so what if we look strange,
Joan Jett had it right when she said to put in another dime,
The Moody Blues, ELO & Chicago would certainly suit me just fine,
The Bee Gees talked about Jive Talkin’ & Welcome Back Kotter was ace,
Did you ever think you’d be a Smart Canuck or on a book about face?
K.C. & The Sunshine Band taught us how to shake our little booty,
& Peter Frampton showed us the way, if we were feeling moody,
I’ll bet it’s been a long time since you’ve recalled The Captain & Tennille,
Is it true that Afternoon Delight never looses its delightful appeal?
Some of us may be Dream Weavers getting ready for our Golden Years,
But, I think that all of us are Still The One, we can laugh until there’s tears,
Paul McCartney sang Silly Love Songs & Queen sang about best friends,
The Eagles said Take It To The Limit so we can all hope for good ends,
Always play that Funky Music, no matter what makes your turntable spin,
For when you have a song in your heart, your sweetness shines from within.

    Good afternoon, everyone.

Had a busy day yesterday. I was adjusting the settings on my Mom's camera & didn't realize I'd brought it back home with me (I don't think Lily dog put the case in my bag, but ya never know, I wouldn't put it past here). This was an issue, cause she's leaving town (at the airport right now) to see her friend & help them celebrate their 50th anniversary. As Mom's friend put it - she's the only one left alive who attended their wedding, so Mom is the only witness that they were indeed married. There's a big party planned for Sat in Miami (yes, I'm jealous that she gets to go somewhere warm, although I'll be off somewhere warm soon too - more later).

Wouldn't have been so busy, had I not had a theatre fix in the afternoon. I missed the original run, so I was thrilled to be able to see a remount of 12 Angry Men. It's one of the best productions I've ever seen. The theatre is set up with seats on either side of the stage, very intimate for 250ish seats. The only sad thing is that I missed the fun from the original production - at one point, there was a water feature when the rain starts, but too many patrons got splattered, so they make do with sound and light now. I highly recommend the show to anyone who can make it down here.

Now, about my little vacation plans. Back before Xmas (and my very expensive vet bill!), I found a really good deal on a quick trip to Vegas. I love Vegas. No, I don't gamble, I just love the noise and the lights and the pretty shiny things all around. So, I convinced bff (the chauffeur and my cruise buddy) to go. And, in less than 2 weeks, I'll be hanging out in Coney Island, walking past a pyramid and watching water dancing in a fountain from the top of the Eiffel Tower all in one afternoon.

I've always hated having debt, but I figure it's better to have fun while I still have energy to enjoy myself. With all the health issues I've had the last couple of years, ya never know when it will be too much to travel, so I'll just have to chip away at the debt slowly (and add to it, sigh) while I live a bit of the high life.

Better get going, lots of errands to run, critters to play with, cookies to bake. The fun never ends around here.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

I have some beefs about the Leafs - why are they so sloppy,
It certainly appears to me that they forgot how to play hockey?
Game after game they get creamed,
    Are they aspirations just undreamed?
They must be tired of trying & they like playing by noncomplying,
Their style ain't fortifying & it borders on horrifying,
Have they ever won a shootout; I am at a loss to even recall....
I guess they define teamwork by playing with semi scribbled scrawl,
There are no answers I guess they're just waiting for the season to conclude,
Then they can forget about it, I'll see you in the basement dude!
