lift up the receiver, I'll make you a believer!
Take second best, put me to the test, things on your chest, you need to confess!
I will deliver, you know I'm a forgiver!

Actually, I do look up at the sky a lot. Mostly the night sky.
This month in the western sky, you might be able to catch a glimpse of Mercury just after sunset. April 18th will be highest in the sky then it gets lower each night after that. Make sure there are no buildings or trees and you might see the bright "star" in the twilight.
Looking south is the 4th brightest object in the sky. This would be Jupiter.
Around midnight, looking southeast, you will see a trio of celestial bodies that form a triangle. The bright orange one would be Mars. To the left of Mars is bright yellow Saturn. Below both planets you will see a red star called Antares, in the constellation Scorpio. Of interest, Mars is the Roman god of war. Ares is the Greek god of war. Antares is the "Anti-Ares" or "Anti-Mars" because its red colour is similar to the hue of Mars.
One other interesting point about Mars is that next month, during opposition, it will be the closest to Earth in over a decade. The planets orbits around the Sun are elliptical. Earth will be further from the sun in its orbit, and Mars will be closer. Opposition means that Earth is directly in between the Sun and Mars, so when the sun sets in the west, Mars will rise in the east at the same time.
Okay, the geek sermon is over now. I return you to your regularly scheduled Q107 banter, already in progress.

Researchers for the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority found over 200 dead crows near greater Boston recently,...
and there was concern that they may have died from Avian Flu.
A BirdPathologist examined the remains of all the crows, and,
to everyone's relief, confirmed the problem was definitely NOT Avian Flu.
The cause of death appeared to be vehicular impacts.
However, during the detailed analysis it was noted that varying colors of paints appeared on the bird's beaks and claws.
By analyzing these paint residues it was determined that 98% of the crows had been killed by impact with trucks, while only 2% were killed by an impact with a car.
MTA then hired an Ornithological Behaviorist to determine if there was a cause for the disproportionate percentages of truck kills versus car kills.
The Ornithological Behaviorist very quickly concluded the cause:
When crows eat road kill, they always have a look-out crow in a nearby tree to warn of impending danger.
They discovered that while all the lookout crows could shout "Cah", not a single one could shout "Truck."

This must be getting so monotonous for you, I am not a fan of long hospital stays, it gets to be quite a drag & sometimes it is hard to keep your spirits up. We are all thinking of you & hope that this time they can repair your hernia once & for all. Thanks for keeping us in the loop. Sending you good wishes. xx

I had my appointment with the prosthetics clinic & i am feeling much more comfortable now. It was getting difficult getting around. I know my mobility will never be what it once was, but I will take this improvement. There are so many advances that are available now in artificial limbs, however our health care system will be a bit on the slow side of town when it comes to catching up & keeping a bit more up to date.
Have a great afternoon people.
