I've really enjoyed the track competitions the last couple of days.
The mens 200m was really tight race.

Took off on an escape this afternoon and drove to Bluffers Park, ending up at the east end and walked the entire length of the beach and back. Pity I didn't borrow the Kween's fitbit and I'd know the distance. Nice to just get away from it all for a while.

Man that sand is hot underfoot and the water so soft and soothing.

I also liked the fact that parking is free on weekdays before 5p.m.

I do enjoy the CNE but no not those so called new concoctions they make up that could well give you a heart attack and I wouldn't eat most of it anyways. I always bring something with me and then buy something (pretty well healthy!) later on. Yes it can get crowded but if you go on a weekday it's not bad cause there is so much room to move around. I really enjoy the shows etc etc - can easily and always do spend a few days down there.....

Good for you Jester walking the length of the beach, did you walk around Ashbridges Bay too or do you mean you walked around Bluffers Park? Is Bluffers Park free to park until 5 p.m.? I was there last spring but not since, I hate paying to park and it gets kind of crowded down there too these days.....I was down around my area of the beach today for a couple of hours....

Oscar came to visit tonight..... His mom and dad worked all day and had a function to go to tonight (that they couldn't bring him to), so he came to visit hubby and me

We thought we would tucker him out with a nice long walk tonight, but he was still raring to go!!! Hubby picked up a huge knuckle bone a while ago, so we decided to entertain him with that for a while too.... I'm not sure who is more tired - Oscar or me watching him devour that bone!!!

Holeeee .... I'm not surprised that Oscars parents weren't allowed to bring him to their function - where would he fit!!!!! He's a giant.
Imagine if he had to share a kennel with Felix - they would surely make an Odd Couple.
