Today is National Dog Day, so your dog should be pampered & cuddled,
Even if your dog sometimes does things that leave you feeling befuddled,
I have a dog who is 11 years old & is lab-shepherd cross,
She likes to remind the squirrels that she is in fact the boss,
Still likes to dig, play stick, fetch balls & go for runs in the field,
When it comes to milk bones or other treats, she chomps down an impressive yield,
High on the dogs who shed too much hair chart, she is a bit of a sucky old girl,
Does not like thunder or fireworks as those sounds send her into a whirl,
She is slowing down in her twilight years & her muzzle is quite grey,
But not matter how you slice it, she makes a loyal old compadre,
I guess when it comes to dogs, she is predictably status quo,
She won’t win any skills contests or rank in the “Best in Show”,
You find her flopped in the hallway & we all have step around,
What a dog that Maggie is, we love her pound for pound.

Get the feeling some people
need an audio upgrade.
Not all music is equal.

Watch, enjoy and share as Mufasa, the last wild animal in a Peruvian circus, is cut free from his chains and walks free after 20 years. After Peru banned wild animals in circuses, most circuses defied the law. One by one ADI tracked them down and removed the animals. Finally in a dramatic stand-off, during which riot police were called, the last circus was cornered and Mufasa was cut from his chains. FIND OUT HOW MORE AND HOW YOU CAN HELP animals like Mufasa: http:///1lwxLbq
Mufasa could not be released into the wild after the life he had endured, therefore ADI built him an enclosure at a sanctuary in his natural environment in the Peruvian forest. Here he was looked after for the rest of his life in a habitat as close to what nature intended for him as possible.
Sadly, Mufasa passed away after a few months of freedom in December 2015. His life in the circus, chained to the back of a pick-up truck, had damaged his health and he was suffering with kidney failure and other age-related problems. We are so sad he did not enjoy more time in his forest habitat, but the real tragedy would have been if he had never experienced that freedom at all.
unbelieveable people can be so cruel..........

Happy National Doggie Day Everyone!
Been down to the CNE twice this week, we won $30 worth of food coupons each so the food was free on Wednesday.
Going to the Toronto Cider Festival tomorrow, won 2 tickets for it which includes 4 sampling tickets each, they go for $36 each so I'm going to check it out. It's the second one happening downtown.
Have a good one, heading down to the beach shortly........
