Students launch class action lawsuit against Ontario colleges

Voting on a proposed contract by striking faculty at the province's 24 colleges continues today. The vote on the college employer council offer to the 12 thousand staff began yesterday and will run into tomorrow. OPSEU is telling them to reject the offer. This comes as a class action lawsuit has been launched against the colleges, with a number of students coming forward. Another student rally is also scheduled outside Queens Park at noon today.

A top military official says the government has things under control. In the wake of the military takeover, the national police force has recalled all officers on leave, suggesting things are actually a lot worse than the government is leading residents there to believe. Canadians in Zimbabwe are being advised to stay indoors in the capital city of Harare due to the political turmoil in the African nation.

It's actually the result of a major collision between two galaxies creating a twisted cosmic knot.
The galaxy, known as NGC 2623, or Arp 243, is located about 250 million light-years away in the
constellation of Cancer (the Crab), according to a NASA statement.
At least 170 bright, hot star clusters are known to exist within NGC 2623.
The galaxy is in a late stage of merging.
It gives scientists a glimpse into our own Milky Way, which may come to resemble
this twisted pattern when it merges with the neighboring Andromeda Galaxy in roughly 4 million years.
