TGIF Q sters,

It's the 1st weekend of the new year & the end of the 1st week. Today should be awesome with sun & temps up to 6 degrees. Good bye white stuff for the weekend at least.

Nylander finally scored his 1st goal after 12 games of playing, but not before he put goaltender Sparks on the concussion protocol list with a slap shot in practice to the side of the head. Leafs brought up Michael Hutchison up from the minors. He had 30 saves, but the Leafs lost 4-3 to the Wild. Leafs get a chance to redeem themselves on Caturday against the Canucks.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year. It was nice to take a couple of weeks off. Of course I am not looking forward to going back to work on Monday, but all good things come to an end.

We woke up to a white as well Newfiescreech, altho I think you have a few more inches then we do. Cheer up, tomorrow & Caturday will be 6 degrees each day & will melt this stuff away.

Too bad about Canada's Jr's. They lost a heartbreaker in OT to Finland last night, so they are out of the tournament.

Happy Psunday Q sters,
Now this is more like it, the sun shining thru. Gotta love it.
Leafs did well last night against the Canucks. Hutchison got his 1st NHL shut out. Played much better, but then so did the team as a whole. Thursday, he only had a couple hours notice that he was in the game, unlike last night when he was more prepared. Freddie even skated at yesterday's practice, before the game, but Babcock said he was not ready yet. They want him fully recovered & rested before the playoffs.
