The 105 stores on the list wont know until september if they will actually become target stores or not, they are just the leases that target is taking.
Apparently the big guys had a deadline to make some sort of announcement by the end of may. They arent finished yet, as part of the agreement, they had to list so many stores by then.
Out of the ones they chose, they will decide which ones to convert to target, and which ones to get rid of. So if your store isnt on the list, it doesnt mean much yet, they just havent gotten around to naming the rest, and the ones that are on the list, doesnt neccessarily mean they will be target for sure.

When celebrating Target coming remember....no points system, no spc card or credit card discount days OR price matching.

I do shop at target but I like having Zellers here.
I think it will be how our walmart is different then the US walmarts.
And ofcourse the prices are going to significatly more then what we pay when
shopping in the US.

They will likely hire the majority of Zellers staff, I cannot image a name change will have the staffs attiudes change.

I recall Target has their own rewards type program to entice their loyal shoppers.

I find some Canadian Walmarts better than others. The selection, the staff, the prices, the discounts the atmosphere. This, in a 15 mile radius.

I find that staff can be encouraged to change their attitude, or they find they are encouraged to go out the door. I have seen this happen when some stores have converted. It is up to the management.

I am still soooooo happy to see Target. Yay!

You must be thinking of another store because they do not have a rewards program.
The only comparable is their credit card, which is Visa & you only ever get a 5% discount.

And we have heard here is that the management is going to be kept on but the rest of the employees have to apply to target.
