Hey guys,
So I've been unsuccessfully job hunting for a while, and I'm having trouble finding local job sites (I'm in Burlington) with good postings. I've been to a few "scam" interviews so far, and have been having trouble getting through to good companies. I'm going to be going back to school in the fall for some online programs and am definitely going to need to save up to pay for these!
If anyone knows of any good sites, I would really appreciate the help.

Burlington used to have the handy classifieds through the Burlington Post known as haltonsearch.com but then the change in the papers meant work postings went to Localwork.ca. I personally find that site so-so.
As a young adult (you are under 24), you probably can qualify for jobs that offer a wage subsidy to the employer. It might be late for an Ontario student summer job-offers a set number of weeks of experience for about min. wage.

Careerworx is in Hamilton and is a youth oriented employment office. Have you been in touch with YMCA employment services staff in Burlington about their listings of websites to try?

In case there are people wondering where to look since the Job Bank went to a format pulling ads from the Internet, look at:
goodwilljobs.ca
ca.indeed.com
Kijiji (yes, some ads land there)
localwork.ca (for any community paper owned by Metroland Media)
Any large city or town websites (have to look for Career Opportunities, Employment, Jobs, Human Resources and other variations on phrases that mean jobs)
Workpolis
Grandtoronto.com if you seek Francophone or bilingual jobs & centrefranco.org as well plus lexpress.to (Top of page Emplois)2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.
