I'll pass too - under info its gives some odd email address(well i think its odd!-sunsilkgangofgirls) - In Canada sunsilk is part of the unilever group so i'd expect it to be that address. Plus it says founded Feb 2011...
Thanks you!!!:)
i looked up it up and the offer is legit. however, it's originating from the india sunsilk page so it may not come. strangely, the global site didn't have a page for canada
also the last 3 conditions of the offer has clauses that suggest it's not an offer for canada:
Quote:
- Hindustan Unilever reserves the right to modify / alter the terms and conditions of the offer.
- Hindustan Unilever Limited reserves the right to withdraw this activity at its discretion.
- Disputes if any shall be subject to Mumbai jurisdiction.
Did you read the "Conditions Apply" at the bottom left of the webpage? This is being done out of Mumbai?
The reason I am leery is a few weeks ago I received a call from India where there is a new scam going on. They say they are from "Windows" or some other name and that they have international reports that there are problems with your computer. Then they try to get you to give them access remotely to your computer and they show you these supposed problems where they will then, for a fee, keep your computer clear of viruses and such for the next year.
Scared me to death at first and then I figured it out and researched it.
I don't think a confirmation tells you anything other than they now have your email.
Thanks :)
thanks have a great day
Thank you!
it's not a scam but it's not supposed to be for cdn demographics either. their fb is linked to their official site: http://www.sunsilk.in/ which can be accessed from the global site, http://www.sunsilk.com/
ahhh reading all these posts i dont no if i should order this sample or not lol
Thanks
I would be careful anything coming from india...there are many scams originating there yet being conducted here. For example, the microsoft scam where they call and tell you there is a virus on your computer...then they get you to open up certain files and take control of your system remotely and next thing you know, they have all your personal info.
I would stay away from anything out of india.
for me it says:
"You may have clicked an expired link or mistyped the address. Some web addresses are case sensitive."
that was on FB....hmmm, not for me....thanx for all the info everyone!
now im all freaked out cause i entered and NOW read all this grrrr
MY mother in law fell for the microsoft remote access scam although she did not give her credit card they accessed her comp- 2 hours on the phone with Microsoft and its still not fixed she sent it to a computer guy..........
now it wont let go back to that facebook page :(
When I click the link it just goes to my facebook home page. Perhaps it was reported or something and fb has taken it off?
