Here as well. Hubby is not the shopper in the family, at least not if I am wanting to use my coupons and PM and of course ...stick to my list LOL

I used to be the one partner that would put the impromptu items in the cart. I am ashamed to admit I still do it sometimes.

yes I like taking him as he will buy things I want but can't afford I let him wonder off and he always comes back with great stuff,If I asked him to buy the items he would say no as we don't need it I never tell him I wanted the item that he found I let him think he's so smart for finding something we needed,he's a bonus for sure!

My husband lets me know what we need to see if we have any coupons for the items he is going to buy. I may tell him where to buy them.

My hubby seems to be getting the hang of things now, he even used coupons before. He now always asks me if I would have a coupon for that product, and if I don't but for something similar he always goes for the coupon option... I think the training went well... hehehehe A+

I have to encourage my man to pick out items and treats. He will go with me and stick with my list or try and remind me of our over flowing pantry and freezer. (I seriously think I am addicted to grocery shopping.) He will look at items but never put them in the cart. I will have to ask him a couple of times if he wants something and then tell him to grab it.

I have now trained my 16 year old son to look for deals and coupons, training the hubby is taking a bit. Yesterday we went to NF because of all the great deals, I was pulling coupons out while we went along. We're in line at the cashier he remembers he needed deodorant so I sent him with my binder while I watched the prices....upon checking out my receipt on the way home I noticed his deodorant was $4.97 for 1 and he didn't use a coupon. I asked him if he was trying to kill me!

It's ugly when I take him along.
He rarely enters a grocery store and when he does it's painful. He moans about the prices and then chucks the exotic goodies he likes in the cart!
Oh, but he loves H&W. It's healthy and I usually let him come along.
