So i'm planning out my 20x points shop, and would like to include 6 ice cream products, using 6 coupons to reduce my OOP.

Since SDM enters FPC's as coupon code 2002, it would NOT make my purchase eligible for the 20x points.

But, if I purchase ice cream that is over $5, then the coupon would be a $5 off coupon, and should then be entered as 2001, right?

I'm thinking i'll point this out to the cashier, and maybe even ask the manager first, as even with the "up to $5" wording, the cashier may see "FREE" and still enter as 2002.

I'm almost confusing myself lol, but any imput would be great!

There was a woman who did just that and spent all her 5$ ice cream coups and did get the points. The secret is to get an ice cream that is more than the 5$ and it will be put in as a 5$ coupon not fpc.

    Good luck!!

Yes, I remember a previous brag where she bought icecream just over $5 and it was fine. She also pointed out that if you buy a tub of icecream there is no tax, but if you buy novelty stuff like cones then there is tax.

    2) The ice cream had to be priced over $5.00 in order for the coupon to be keyed in as a 2001 (NOT a 2002 Free Product Coupon.) No bonus points are awarded for 2002 coupons and I REALLY needed the bonus points for this week’s strategy to work.
Interesting. That's what the $5 is about. Thanks.

I have done it several time since this coupon is around. Each time they have use code 2001 with ice cream having a value over 5$. But be sure to show it to the cashier to avoid code 2002...

little tip, just said that they can't put tx on the part over 5$ on the ice cream if you need They will enter the right code !!!

The coupon is for any cones, ice cream, or frozen yogurt, so it would still work on Breyers! (unles you don't like that brand lol)

And yes, the ice cream must be over $5 (before taxes if buying novelties) for it to be rung in as code 2001.

I am going to pay close attention though, as they are rung in, because some of the cashiers at my SDM aren't always the swiftest, and may see "FREE" and just go with 2002 lol.

When I used multiple ice cream coupons at SDM to purchase ice cream tubs that were priced over $5.00, I politely pointed out that, since the ice cream was over the $5.00 maximum, I understood that each coupon would be entered as $5.00 rather than a free product. Each time (I went to 5 different SDMs), the cashier rang in the 12 coupons as $5.00 each and used the 2001 code. I received bonus points on all 5 shopping trips.

    Have fun shopping tomorrow!

At my SDM, if the ice cream is 5.99$ then they would enter the coupon at 2002 $5, so I have to pay the 0.99$ different, no points on that 5$!
