I just signed up for the maven box. Which is put out by julep, it is more expensive, and it's all nail care items, like polishes and handcreams etc.

I was very impressed with it. My review is up in the beauty section. I don't know how to upload pics or I would.

I've been curious about the luxe box.

I think the luxe box people are running out of samples....this month's box wasn't too exciting. My Glymm box however was awesome!!

Heres a post with pics and descriptions...honestly the worst thing in there was the city lips plumper (the only makeup item)...ick...it made my lips look like I just ate a super spicy noodle or something..it stings, and I don't have very sensitive lips. Weird. The other samples seem useless to me and the only one I was happy with was the Moroccan oil.

I was signed up for 3 months, but have cancelled my subscription. I found it wasn't worth even the $12.00 I was paying, since I rarely received products I would use. Also, I would always look at what others were receiving after I got mine, and I always wanted what others got and I didn't (such as Moroccan Oil, I received a TINY sample for coloured hair instead...have never dyed my hair). So I ended up deciding that I'd rather keep my $12/month and buy something that I actually want instead. Although I must say, it was nice to receive an Essie nail polish in the mail and such, but I'd rather pay the $8.99 for one and get a colour I'd actually pick out.

I got my October Glymm Box today. It had:

Annabelle SmudgePaint (full size) in Plum (retails for $12)
Lise Watier flash lift radiance sample
Jellybeans
rahua shampoo and conditioner relatively large sample
Orlane Smoothing Cream ( all of the sample stuff came in tubes)
RGB Nailpolish in a dark red (not a colour I would really wear - that's the issue I have with this box)

All for $11. Not sure if I will cancel my subscription. I might try the Luxe box next...

The issue I have the most with it, is that I am a teenager... so I don't really need wrinkle cream etc YKWIM... It doesn't seem like they are really tailoring the samples to people's skin all that well IMO.

That is why I don't subscribe to beauty boxes...I tried the luxe that they provided to me to review on my blog and it was mostly wrinkle cream and hair oil that I can't use because I am early 20's and still have teenage skin and oily hair LOL
I love samples but I think I will continue to get them free in stores and when companies offer them online.
