Hey all, i am fairly new to all this and loving it! i seriously think about coupons like every day. i posted an auction for some coupons but someone said it belonged in trades. i couldnt find a post on how to do auctions? does anyone know what i did wrong so i can correct it?

Welcome to SC.
No worries about posting in the wrong section, this site is massive so it takes a while to learn where everything goes.
If you click on the COUPONS tab, right at the top you will see 2 sub-forums (coupon trading/discussion & coupon trains). Just click on the coupon trading and you can post auctions there.

Well they shouldn't of really said anything. They could of hit the report button and we would of moved it to the right spot.
