Sorry its a bit late... I got distracted by FB as I hadnt been on there in awhile lol

#1 - Find my til and come to me lol
#2 - Try to group your coupon items together in this order if you can...

Before you begin let the teller know you have lots of coupons (major shop)
1- Have your Coupon Zone items go through the til first with the coupons attached to them as theyre scanned and not many people look at them (ask the teller to wait for you to get organized, they dont mind standing around for a min and having a break on busy days)...

2- then have your regular groceries go through (providing you have alot of them like its a major shop or something)

3- Then once all your items have gone through the til hand the lady all your coupons (EXCLUDING COUPON ZONE ONES as they should have been the first items to go through)

4- The Tils have a limit of about $9.50 per transaction that dont require an override... I say $9.50 but I think its really 9.99 because $10 requires an override... Better safe then sorry in the long run... Coupon Zone coupons do not count towards this total...

5- any double coupons you have (in addition to the Coupon Zone ones) should be set aside from the stack and given to the superviser while shes there already, Let the cashier input the ones shes needs to in order to get the supervisor over for the override... The supervisor will then have all the coupons and the Cashier needs to step back and get out of the way... then you can tell them you have a MC for an item you used the Coupon Zone coupon for while handing her a seperate stack. This is good to do because if they DO have a problem with putting them through, they will just tell you no and not waiste your time... then you can go to customer service speaking to the manager and the Cust Rep for RCSS Head office... If they DONT have a problem putting them through then you will be remembered for being honest and for not trying to hide the fact you had more then 1 coupon (MC and Coupon Zone only)

Tip #3 - If you happen to have a minor shop with lots of coupons ( like I do) then try to split the items up into groups not exceeding the $9.50 value...

Tip #4 - If youre using the BOGO and mainly BOGOs (go to Walmart lol) Go to the CUstomer Service Desk to pay for them... They appriciate it more not having to run all over hell and back giving overrides to massive coupons at every til... If you have 1 or 2 that do not exceed the limit then go for it but if the coupon you want to use on the one your buying exceeds the limit, the supervisor might not let in through

Tip #5 - Go during the day (I find that morning is always better)... Its less busy, people are less stressed out with running all over hell and back and you can chat your way to a happy couponing experience...

Tip #6 - (at my store only) When you go during the day make sure you spot the young female with the clip board walkin around or at customer service in regular clothes... shes the one who knows the policy up and down and if the chasier has an issue with one of your coupons, shes the one they'll be asking... like if you can in fact combine a coupon zone and a manufactures coupon for the same one item... or if you can in fact use a $1 off coupon on the item your buying and still use the get 1 free coupon...

Tp #7 - Know your cashiers! If you always go to the same cashier and she knows your face or even your name, then you'll have a smoother time as well... Always talk to the people around you as well... keep it light and happy... theyre the ones who have to wait while you break up your items and who have to wait while the cashier is waiting for the supervisor to override...

Tip #8 - Always check what cashier places the coupons on the shelf or in the drawer after theyve been scanned... Lots of people place them in the drawer and dont bother looking at them again... others have them out and beside eachother for referance... This is good to know if youre trying to use the Manufacture coupon with the BOGO and the cashier looks stressed out...

Tip #9 - (more like Number 1) LeAvE ThE KiDs At HoMe If YoU CaN... Not only will you be more relaxed at check out but everyone around you will be more relaxed as well... You'll be much more organized and have a grip on where your placing items instead of taking things out of kids hands and putting them back...

Tip #10 - (Also should be number 1) Be Honest... Have your Store policy with you and ready and understand its words... regardless if theyre creating a new one... Even have Frankies number on speed dial from Customer service at RCSS if you need him... (posted by someone else and I forgot to find it) no manager likes to have them called in front of themselves or other people to confirm or deny what theyve just said... you'll end up getting a "Just put it through" from most people in that situation...

Most Importantly... Be Honest... Please DO NOT PHOTOCOPY SAVE.CA or any other coupons (yes it was my job the other day to sort through them and I was apauled) When you photocopy a coupon youre putting tens of thousands of people at risk of loosing their couponing PRIVELEDGE... you want to save an extra 50 cents on your Tums you bought TIMES TWO? take the pop bottles you through out last week at work to the bottle depot... Theres your extra 50 cents...

A little warning to anyone who reads this and tries to come through my til with a copied coupon... I will embarrass the crap out of you so bad you will run from the store leaving behind your hours of shopping... And if you lie to me saying thats how you got it... then it will only get worse as I will start yelling out the fact that you have copied a coupon and are trying to STEAL from the company... then because I'm making such a comotion... the cameras will be on me which means they will be on you and I'll make sure your face gets posted at every til at every RCSS... And I will personally phone every grocery store in the area letting them know to be on the lookout for you...

Everyone else... These are just a few tips on having a pleasent experiance AT MY STORE... There are many more however now I'm frustrated again at the person I mentioned above (you know who you are and soon I will too!)

Could someone kindly post a link to the post of Frankies Phone number at RCSS Head Office Customer service? As well the Link to the Policies... Both of which were posted by someone else and I forget who lol

Have fun and stay safe couponing!

I found the link to the post with Frankies info lol

I wonder if your the lady who rapped her finger on my Ocean Spray coupon and practically yelled something about not accepting my coupon b/c you believed, or insinuated it was reproduced? I had no idea what to say- I was very embarassed. Another lady on here was kind enough to say I should have said I did not reproduce it- I printed it off and did not make a photocopy.
Anyway- if that was you- thanks for nothing. Don't assume I was out to run away to Mexico with my big DOLLAR off and live the easy life until the end of my days.
And if that wasn't you- no offense intended!!

NOOOOOO that was NOT ME!! I personally dont care if you print more coupons off then youre asked not too nor do I care if you photocopy the ones you DID print (yes I can tell) I would do what I would do if your coping a manufactures hard copy coupon sent from Save.ca, Websaver, or the head office themselves...

Its the paper theyre printed on... you cannot buy this paper at all... yes you can buy glossy paper and photo paper and other such paper at staples... but not coupon paper and Ive felt up enough coupons in my 15 yrs of couponing to know when it feels wrong it is wrong...

I'm also a Computer Tech and I spend most of my time online and on my computer printing Documents, building websites, printing biz cards and calenders and other such things for small businesses... Ive delt with all kinds of paper types and I know the difference between good zerox paper and crappy cheap multi printing paper... I also know my paper poundage and I know you cannot buy any paper that coupons are printed on... you would either have to work somewhere that prints them or steal it... or find something close to it that you could think you could use but by the time you were done it would be costing you more then you would be saving with no guarentees in the end but the money you spent trying LOL

I'm sorry someone thought you copied your Ocean spray coupon... a printed coupon is different then a tear pad coupon which is just as different to a photocopied one when you know your coupon papers... It was Save.ca coupon (2 of them for Tums) that was copied on regular paper... not even a good attempt and that person is lucky they didnt come through my til because they wouldnt have gotten the warning if they did.

3- Then once all your items have gone through the til hand the lady all your coupons
I thought we should hand in coupons with each item scan but not end of the til. This remind me of the Extreme couponing show.

When you photocopy a coupon you're putting tens of thousands of people at risk of loosing their couponing PRIVELEDGE.
    Totally agree.

Glad to hear it wasn't you! I imagine it has become a new stress on the job with so many customers trying to grasp the couponing life- I guess if I knew my stuff, I wouldn't have felt that humiliation- it was partly not knowing if i HAD reproduced the coupon. I never clued in that it meant photocopied. I guess I expected hand holding and explanations since it was my first trip using coupons. Which was my fault for assuming - neglecting that your store, and every other store around now has many customers trying to do their own "E.C" run at it.

I will take heed to your advice listed above and get studying the fine print of couponing at the various stores in my area! : )

    *sniff* *sniff* Well THANK YOU!!!

I think you've done it... I think I might be speechless! I didnt think it was possible! I cant even remember a time Ive ever been speechless! Oh wait yes I can... 12 years ago my Son Tyler (17 now) decided he was going to eat away the evidence of a bag of chips while we were shopping because I said no I didnt have a coupon for it (LOL) when I got up to the til and had all my stuff rang through (coupons and all) I notice he was sitting on the empty bag... I asked him what it was he was sitting on and he looked so gulty I lifted him up and saw it and turned the cashier lady and said this too please... then I turned to Tyler and asked him why he ate the chips after I said no... he said "Because we didnt have a coupon but I really wanted them" LOL the lady BURST out laughing and I couldnt speak I didnt know what to say! LOL SO FUNNY!

I guess I'm not that speechless! At least I'm easy to pick out in a croud!

Have fun and Thank you again very nice things to say!!!

If you have lots of coupons they need to go through at the end anyways because of the override requirements... only thing that can and should always go with the product at RCSS is the coupon zone coupons as their store coupons and get scanned not manually entered
