Hello From Eastern Nova Scotia
I am new to the Smart Canuck's website and couponing. This site is great.
I am a self employed mom with two girls aged 5 and 9. We moved to NS from BC around 3 years ago to be closer to hubby's family. Our freedom 50 plan was derailed a few months ago. :( I have my own retail store and it has not been doing well.
I caught an episode of EC (gasp) and the lightbulb went on. I had never thought of couponing! My goal is to save money and I am having a lot of fun so far. It is a big adjustment for me as my husband has done all the shopping for the last 9 years.
My 9 year old is really interested in couponing and is my professional cutter. The only condition was that I not store 100s of toilet paper rolls and mustard under her bed.:surprised:
My first experience have been positive. Yesterday I bought cereal on sale for $2.99 and had a $10 off card. The cereal had a $5 coupon on it for Skinny Cow which I bought at Sobey's today for $4.99! So far so good but I am a long way from doing a whole cart full. Baby steps!
