Hi everyone,
wanted to know if anyone in London or area would be interested in working together with me to start making large donations every month to the London food bank. With being able to get so much for free or cheap it would be great to be able to donate more then I do already. Let me know what your guys and gals think. Maybe even collecting at our trade days???This thread is currently associated with: N/A

I think collecting at the trade days is a FANTASTIC idea! Every time I head down to my stockpile, I think, Wow, I really have a lot of this... Good way to keep the stock fresh, and help out those less fortunate. Great idea Princessd!

i'm in.Wife and I have been talking about where it ends....... deals, stockpiling etc. I like this and I like it alot. Don't think we need to stop at the food bank though. There is also men's mission and a host of womens shelters for when we have those real cheap deoderant, laundry soap, body wash etc.

http://www.web.net/~londonfb/LFB-needs.htmNeeds
Here's a list of items that we currently need:
- canned fish, meat, stew
- peanut butter, jam
- canned vegetables
- rice, pasta (uncooked)
- canned soup, canned fruit
- macaroni & cheese dinner
- canned juice, or individual boxes
- baby food (large or small jars, cereals, cookies)
- baby formula
- powdered or canned milk
- oatmeal, large packages or individual servings
- individually packaged healthy snack foods
- cake mixes, baking goods
It could be helpful to find out if the food bank does accept items that relate to special dietary needs i.e. diabetes, vegetarian (lentils, pulses) in case your coupons supply can cover them too.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

Love this idea, I love to give anything that I can.. I get more excited to shop for things that others need then what we need in our own home. I've known many women and men that have been in the shelters and they are very grateful to what is being donated as this helps them to re-build stuff for when there ready to take life on again.

I have been using my upstairs dining room for the food bank and women shelter donations that we do every month. I go with my husband and daughter and drop off at the food bank each other. Sometimes we have items that need to be frozen or fresh produce (like the 10 pound potato bags a while back that were B1G1free) They loved us that day!

I just got in my flyers a curbside food drive thing that is being picked up from the 10th to the 18th of June. All you have to do is fill a bag and put it out by the curb on recycling day with a bright ribbon or the paper on it
