I went into my local WM this morning to pick up a gift card and noticed that they had the Catelli pasta on sale. I had a websaver coupon when you buy 2 you save $1.00. The cashier advised me that they no longer accept any coupons from Websaver.ca or Save.ca as they have had problems in the past collecting the money from them. I asked her how long this policy was in effect and she stated a couple of weeks. I was on my way to work so did not have time to argue about it.
has anyone else had this problem?
UPDATE: I contacted WM head office and was advise that they DO accept them and that the Cashier must have been confused by the policy. The person I spoke to was going to call the store right away and was going to have the store manager contact me. I will update once I have spoken to the manager. I have spoken with the manager and the store has confirmed they do accept the coupons. Problem all fixed.
FURTHER UPDATE: went this morning (5/12) and they accepted my websaver.ca coupon no problemThis thread is currently associated with: Save.ca Coupons, WebsaverLast edited by kimzcouponz; Thu, May 12th, 2011 at 09:28 AM. Reason: Update on information

I have never had a problem using coupons at Walmart.

that particular cashier probably had accepted "bad" save.ca/websaver.ca coupons before and had been called to have a talk with the store manager. can't blame him/her. i was at wm last time, and the cashier handling my coupons checked each coupon. she explained that she would get in serious trouble if she let in fake coupons. i said take all the time she needed, it's understandable.

Yes it is. I agree... I spoke in detail with the store and they have advised me that a lot of people are fradulently using coupons now. Making copies etc in order to obtain more product in the store. It is situations like that, that ruins it for the honest couponers out there.

I'm glad it worked out for you. I had an issue with a cashier this am at WM- didn't want to apply the difference between the on sale ziploc's (1.48) and the coupon $4 wub 2 to the rest of my purchase. I had the time so I asked her to clarify with the CSM. Things ended well - got my 'free' ziplocs and had the extra dollar applied to the rest!
