Holly I just LOVE this idea!! I can't believe I've missed this thread! I always believe in paying it forward and do, it makes the world a happier place! :)
So let's see in the last couple of days I've...
-taught a stranger at LD interested in couponing a bit about it and gave her a bunch of coupons to get 5 tubes of toothpaste for 25 cents each to help out her single mom daughter
-gave away my free box of choco cheerios to a coworker plus the same bunch of toothpaste coupons who will be getting married and moving out shortly
-met a fellow SC'er at Walmart and gave her some Dove coupons to help her stack to get deo for free at LD and get toothpaste for 25 cents
-gave the WONDERFUL gal at SOF customer service (who looked after me while getting 4 dozen cans of soup) a few coupons so she too can get some soup at 9 cents a can
In the works, I've been gathering toiletries, cleaning supplies, dry goods, condiments for several peeps
-planning to give a new home housewarming gift to the coworker who is moving out
-gathering things for a gf who's going to be a new mother in 7 months
-getting donations for the local transition house
-gathering donations for the food bank
-currently looking for a place to donate shaving cream...looking for a local men's shelter
You see it's just DH and I (we had two kitty furbabies until the last 6 months when we lost both of them with 3 months of each other) but we don't need much. I've always believed in giving but there's NO WAY that I could ever give the amount of money that I would like to give. But with coupons and frugal shopping I can give soooo much more!
Pay it forward :)
