What a fabulous thread! Thanks all for bumping, otherwise I may have not noticed it.
Yesterday I scored some of the cheap Old spice deos at zellers (natch 16 cents each) and the cashier actually said "wow" (first time that's happened to me yet). I gave her 4 old spice coupons. They are about to expire and I would rather see tme used up.
I was leaving a paid parking lot today and only used 10min of my 1 hour time, just as I was leaving someone was putting their $$ in the slot....I managed to stop her in time and gave her my ticket!! She said "thanks for making an old ladies day" hahahahaha
While I was shopping for coupons today, one store had a "coupon exchange box". (The store did not carry any tear pads of manufacturer's coupons.) Some kind souls had deposited various coupons in this box. You could take as many as you wanted. I took a few and then replaced them with extras I had. I think this was a neat idea!!
I really like this idea, I frequent a store in Calgary that has an exchange box as well. I will often find a coupon I am looking for and leave others I don't need or have a few extra's of. I think it's a fabulous idea, every store should have one.Quote:

bump ... cant wait till I have enough coupons to start Random Acts... found a coupon by the toothpaste for Dove the other day.... it made my day as I could tell it was another couponer who had done this!

Hi, I just wanted to share what I did yesterday. I went to Walmart with my July 31 and Aug 1-6 coupons and I started putting them on their respective shelves. I spotted a couple going to pick up the Great Value brand of dusting cloths and gave the woman the Swiffer refills coupons. They were also looking at the Swiffer starter kit for the vacuum and gave them the $5 coupon as well. They were ecstatic! I was on the phone at the time so we did not have any dialogue. But, by the look on their faces, they were happy. I bumped into them a few aisles over and I noticed the sweeper vac and 2 of the refills in their buggy....YAYY!! I also had a few of the hair colour coupons for natural instincts and nice n easy and put them on the shelves.
I had put out an email to close relatives with my expiring coupons and only received 2 responses. Ah well...I gave my mom my FPC for the natural instincts product (don't know why I received 2??) and a few of the $3 of tide, bounce and downy coupons, old spice and razors and gillette. Our friend dropped by on Friday to see what coupons she wanted from the stash and was quite happy about the swiffer refills, sensodyne, old spice, gillette, tide, shave gel and diaper coupons. She was a happy camper and hopefully a future couponista :)
I must admit, I left Walmart feeling very happy that I could help others save money. I got that warm fuzzy feeling inside...nothing beats that! :)
This is a great idea!! Im so happy I found this website...its made my entire couponing experience so much better :) Ive learned so much from everyone in the couple of months that ive been couponing...thanks and Bump!!
