I totally agree with you. LD are nicer and easier to deal with. I've never had a problem PM or stacking. I always make sure I'm organized, and purchase smaller amounts(less than 10 items), high light the date, amount, conditions, and clearing house address. They appreciate the effort. Going first thing in the morning helps as well. If I have a big shopping trip planned, I call the manager in advance, and they order extra products for me. I always go up to the Customer Service desk, because usually the Service Specialist on duty can do her own 'over rides'.
