What's the Catch? How does SmartCanucks make money?

There's no catch! SmartCanucks is dedicated to the idea of giving our members maximum value in the form of Cash Back. We don't mark up prices, and we don't mark up shipping and handling charges. Nor are we a "clearinghouse" for overstock or discontinued items. By going through SmartCanucks.ca, you have access to the same products as when shopping directly at the store.

So how do we make money? Merchants pay us to send you to them and we split this revenue with you. For example, Indigo/Chapters pays us an extra 5% on the purchase price (even if you bought the product at a discounted price). We split this extra cash with you, where in this case for instance you get 3.5% and we get 1.5%.

In the future we will add an option of donating your cashback to charity. This option is not available yet though and we prefer that you get the money and then donate it to charity yourself if you would like to do so.

Well thats good to know anyway. Since I live in the USA currently, I have no reason to shop Canadian Retailers at this time. I just figured it would be easier to secretly donate the money to another SC'r but what do I know. hehe. Thanks for clarifying Boo

So...umm... can someone just please clarify this for me. If I come to the cashback forum and from there I click on eBay. Then the eBay site pops up, where I sign in to eBay and if I then bid on an item, if I win it I will get 28% credited back onto my PAypal account automatically? Thank you.
