I'm definitely buying the Wii on launch day. If I can't find a place to pre-order (TRU's pre-order was quite sketchy and EB isn't taking them yet) then I'll be lining up out front of my favourite EB in the cold November weather at 5am like every other schmuck. I'd like to say it'd be the first time I'd done such a thing, but I lined up on PS2 launch day and camped overnight for Episode I tickets, so I'm getting to be an old hat at this.

Despite my early adopter, rampant fanboy status driving me to pick one up on day one, I'd like to assure you that this would be a fantastic purchase for everybody. I can't wait - Nintendo is once again re-inventing the ideas behind gaming. (FYI - the DS is another great example of this that everybody needs to try at least once. You won't want to put it down!)

But on to things that are a little more relevant to this thread...

After getting home last night and posting that item, I reread the flyer here and noticed that they had the Creative Zen Nano on for $44. How could I pass that up? So I had to hoof it over to Wal-Mart at 9 o'clock (no car + fat guy = running bad) and I was lucky enough to grab the second to last one. Definitely worth the small heart attack I suffered from all the running.

After a little more fiddling with it, I'll be throwing a review up on my blog in case anyone here wants to know if it's worth scoring at that price.

Also - this morning we had an appointment across town at the Superstore Potrait Studio for family photos. Luckily, there's a Wal-Mart in the same plaza, so I decided to see if I could find my game - and I did! It was the last copy, so I got real lucky.

Still looking for TMX Elmo though.

I'm glad you got all of the stuff you were looking for! You're very lucky to find that stuff after the promo had been on for a day. Nano for $44 is one hot bargain. I wish I never bought my iPod Video 30Gb for $379.99

I'm thinking of buying Wii too. Its price is very attractive and I love Nintendo's light hearted fun arcade games.
Xbox 360's games are very simillar to PC games (i think)

I'm looking forward to your review. Once your review is up I'll mention it on SC for others to check out.

TMX Elmo is a must!! You didn't buy anything for the little one yet
