Brag and Rant - Walmart (posting stuff in Flyers)

Ok so I couldn't sleep so I was up early and out the door to go to Walmart (by 8am) to get the $1.88 Gillette Satin Care Shave Gel...and a few other things.

1st Walmart - Islington=none bought some Charmin (2x with $20 coupons inside) and dish soap (that leaked in the trunk) used up last xmas GC saved around $15

2nd Walmart (25min drive) Bramptpn - only because the lady said they had 24 cans..I get there none..stormed out the door (I was so mad)

3rd Walmart (another 25min back home) Woodbridge (1st store said they had 12)...none

At this point I am a little ticked off that they post something in their flyer and they don't have the product..I thought that only happened at Zellers..(always happened to me at the big Z)

anyways I decided to then buy all the small Satin travel size (8x $1.47) and I sm. gillette foamy (1x $1.27) to use with my Buy 3 save $5 coupons and they had Huggies wipes for $3.47 which I thought was cheaper then what I have been seeing at other stores so I bought 3 with my Save $1x3 coupons


what an eventful morning....ggrr.....and these Save $5 expire July 7th next Thursday so I will check back like the 1st store said to do

I had this happen before too. I was told that sometimes they don't get their shipment in time for the sale. A couple of weeks ago I was looking for the Schick razors they on for $5.00 for 6 and they had none in the store and was told that HO puts out the flyers but sometimes the stores don't get their stock in time.

Did you ask for a rain check?

no I didn't ask for a raincheck.....because I will check back on Monday/Tuesday and the coupons expire on the 7th so I won't be able to use them once the product comes in.

I would have gotten a raincheck anyways...to use another day..I dont think the rainchecks expire. I could be wrong.

I asked at my walmart one time when a truck didn't come in time for an advertised sale and was told that if it says "limited quantities" in the flyer, they can't give out a raincheck. I was like" but you never had any in stock to begin with" And at our walmart you have to get there at the crack of dawn to get the sales.lol. which by the way i have been known to do lol

too bad, there is nothing I hate worse than not being able to find products that are in the flyers. I had no idea that the WM flyer started today so i am sure by the time I hit mine on Saturday the shelves will be cleared out too

I was not impressed when I rushed back there at lunch today specifically for this. Boo-urns. Talk about a let down.

Oh shoot! I forgot that flyer starts today! I guess I'm making a pit stop when I head out to the post office today. Thanks for the heads up!

Went into the Walmart today and they did not have any in stock at all and when I asked they said they do not have any and according to their little computer will not be getting any in at all for the sale. I asked at customer service if they would then supplement the next large size they have on the shelf and still give me the sale price - I was honest and told them I had coupons to be used. The Store Manager said YES!! So no extra driving around for me as I know full well that most likely the other stores were not stocked up either and it would have been another hour to drive to the next Walmart.

same here none at my walmart witch is a 45 min drive for me, the shelves were cleared out on the last sale and missed out and now this time, i guess the female dept will still be lacking compared to my mens section in the house

Same here. I went in this morning and was told that they were probably in one of the 3 vans parked out back. I was told that I could call the department manager to have a couple set aside but, since I reported her last week for rude behaviour, asking for a favour would not be a good idea. So I guess I will have to go in on Saturday and hopefully they will have some.
