With the Lipton/Dole B2G1 free coupon, I have had it interpreted in two different ways as follows:

    1) Buy 2 packages of drinks and get one of those two packages free.

    2) Buy 2 packages of drinks and get a third package free.

I have had cashiers do it both ways. Is there a correct way or is subject to their interpretation?

I always thought it meant "Buy two get one Free", but hey I could be wrong...

Get one free as in - get the third one free, So if you buy 2 of those products you get the 3rd product for free.

It would be buy 2 - as in pay for 2 - and you get 1 free as an extra bonus. If you bought 2 and only paid for one of those it would be B1G1 instead of B2G1

I think that the answer lies in how would you treat a b1g1?
    a) buy one and get that one free (!!!! sign me up if this is the case)
    b) buy one and get a separate one free
What is the wording on the coupon? I just pulled out a Catelli pasta one thats b3g1 free but the picture shows 3 products with an arrow with the words buy on the one side of the coupon and the fourth product on the opposite side with an arrow saying get 1 free.

The coupon can be seen in this thread:

    http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/199820-...coupon-canada/

The way it is worded I could see it going either way. It just shows two packages on the side. I have used the coupon at Shoppers Drug Mart and Walmart and just taken two packages to the checkout and they gave me one of them free. At Food Basics they did it the way I just stated the first time, but the second time they made me buy two and I would get an additional third one for free.
