I spoke with the owner today and they are expected to open at the end of July. They are currently hiring staff.

Has anyone ever been to the Queens Buffet? I'm just wondering what it's going to be like.

what kind of food is it? Where's it going to be located?

We need a really good all you can eat chinese buffet in SJ, like the Jubilee or the Dip in Fredericton. We went to China coast on Main st (west) once.. they charged us full price of 12.99 for everyone...even the 2 yr old!!!!!! Maybe I've just been spoiled from my years in Freddy, but what 2 yr old eats 12.99 worth of food??? With 9 kids, you can just imagine what our bill looked like ...was soooo disappointed.

The owner is from Toronto. It will be the style of a Mandarin restaurant in Ontario but on a smaller scale.

Link to the Mandarin to give you an idea:

This will blow the Jubilee and Dip way out of the water. Having lived across Canada and experiencing different types of restaurants, I was really disappointed with both of those restaurants. Saint John has needed this type of restaurant for a long time.

I noticed Queens Buffet is open now, but I haven't tried it yet. Has anyone had the opportunity to give it a try? Reviews, please!
