Not sure when Hope will be able to eat solid food, but they do have pigeon mix at the bulk barn if you have one near you, and it is only like $0.11 per 100g.

I just saw the pics and that is the size our little pigeon was when we found him. He was already able to eat a few small seeds and some soft bread crumbs that i rolled into tiny balls and slightly moistened. He loved these and pecked them out of my hand.He liked the tiny round seeds that were in the wild seed mix the best at first than went on to eat all kinds of seeds. Don't you think they look like Mr. Burns from the Simpsons.lol

lmao winston, tooo funny, thanks for the laugh!!
I have been feeding her today out of a plastic bag, she must be getting enough, she's still alive. I never knew how stressful this would be. I'm always checking on her when I'm not holding her. She can talk, holy lol, squuk sqeek lol. Not sure if it's hunger or just bird talk. I called the vet here, no one deals with birds, so I just have to wing it myself I guess. I've tapped her birdseed on the floor of her cage but she just looks at me like wth? lol. Been trying to find all the info I can.LF: $ 4.00 off any covergirl, 2.00 axe,RLF ARMSTRONG cheese, black diamond, 3.00 gain. 2.00 Majesta. Have 5.00 walmart gc.

Happy to hear that both you and Hope are doing well!
You're a good pigeon-mom...Pigeons all over the city will be over to visit when she's finally set free (she WILL be set free, riiiiigh?) and welcome her into their flock. Then they will all flock off together.
You'll be so proud...

I was reading pigeons as pets can live up to 30 years, she could very well outlive me, in the wild, not so long
