Moving to PG - looking for suggestions to save $

I am moving to PG from the States and am looking for ways that I can save on groceries and household items.

I was wondering if there are any good sources on information like websites, blogs etc. for finding the weekly deals from Save on Foods and other grocers and the local drug stores.

Also, I would love to hear what the favorite stores are of other frugal shoppers in PG.

Do you get coupons in the Sunday papers? In the U.S. we get a lot of coupons each week, but I've been told that this is not the case in Canada - if they are not in the Sunday paper - is there another good source of coupons? What stores take coupons?

do you mean Prince George? I live in BC too, the best places to shop are at London Drugs cause you can stack, but not sure if there is a LD there or not...Save on Foods is REALLY expensive, I would avoid shopping there if you can.

if you are moving to prince george there is one london drugs there...
there is coupons in the newspaper, just not every week, i have a friend up there and he says the coupons come in the citzen

Well I live up here in PG and there really aren't that many options for shopping. We have 4 or 5 Save-on-foods, A walmart supercentre, Zellers, Shoppers Drug mart London Drug and a costco. London Drugs is great for PM'ing and Stacking!
As for coupons Save-on, London drugs and Shoppers usually has a good supply, Walmart has the odd ones. We have coupon flyers come in out weekly papers a couple times a month → redplum and smart source. You can get them in the Real Estate weekly , which is usually found in the Citizen but apparently everyone should be getting them delivered!

The Real Estate Weekly should be delivered to everyone's door. The companies pay to have their weekly flyers delivered to every household so if you aren't getting them, have a chat with the Citizen. I had to do that several times and now mine come every week without fail. I get a free paper every Thursday and the Real Estate Weekly on Saturdays. The coupon inserts are in the Real Estate Weekly as bborik stated.

Yes I did mean Prince George (sorry!). Thanks for the info. I will definitely be looking out for those stores when we get there. Are there any other stores that price match - other than London Drug? In the states Wal-mart does also - is that the same?

Zellers price matches as well as Wall mart.

You might want to check out shoppers whole sale for groceries, they often have good prices, and their produce always seems to last better then save on foods produce does.
