No coupons allowed after a price match?

I just came from walmart, I wanted to price match the lysol soap dispenser from the rexall flyer on for $8.99 and then use my $5 off coupon, she said it cannot be used with any other offer. I've done price matching and given coupons for the same product before at WM but this cashier said no and asked the CSM too. Is this right? I didn't think price matching was considered an "offer".
I'll just go to rexall later and use the coupon there, just wanted to save myself a trip since I was already going to walmart.

no you can do both at the same time, next time ask for the duty manager not the customer service manager...they dont seem to know the rules

I do that at Walmart all the time! Never had a problem.

hmmm...i just asked that question in the shopping question and was told that yes you could do a PM & use a coupon.
Im worried Zellers might be out of Purex so i was going to PM at Walmart...guess i'll ask before i even try!
