Hi there !
I'm really NEW to couponing and am wondering if it is ever possible to get a really good deal on baby products? I have a ton of coupons and my cousin is expecting in 2 weeks so I thought it would be a great idea to surprise her with a bunch of baby products.
I don't mind paying a bit and paying for taxes and really dont want these coupons to go to waste with a fast approaching expiry date !

I guess it depends on what you're looking for.
I can get really good deals on J&J bath wash and shampoo, wipes, diapers and jarred food.
BTW, that's really nice of you to buy for your cousin! Babies are expensive! LOL
I would contact Johnson & johnson and ask for a "new parents pack" it will include a free product coupon as well as a bunch of other coupons. 1-866-565-2229
You can use the free product coupon to buy a gift pack, perfectly legit. Some of the kits will include baby wash, shampoo, vaseline, etc...a variety of products rather than just one. Wal Mart usually have the gift packs.
Watch for the sales. Often No frills will put Huggies on sale for 9.99 use a $2 off coupon and you've just gotten a box of diapers that would usually retial for nearly $20 for under $8. Likewise check clearance, walmart will often put diapers on clearance, or at least they have been lately it seems. Combine whereever possible. Like a save $5 cpn for pampers diapers & a wipe... I often end up getting the wipes for free and saving some on the diapers basically by doing it this way.
Now that the dollar stores are accepting coupons, keep your eyes out there too. If nothing else the dollar store even without coupons always seems to have the cheapest baby food. 2/ $1 most grocery stores sell it for about .75 a jar. Or even better, pick up a cheap food processor and she can make her own baby food... that way she'll always know what her baby is eating...aside from that crusty cheesie found under the couch....
And watch for things like the 20x the points on shopper's this Saturday... They have huggies boxes on for $19.99 (usually about $26) use a $2 off cpn...$17.99... the amount of points you receive by spending the $50 to get the 20x the points, should add up to at least $30 worth of free merchandise on a later purchase....

Definitely sign up for baby packs. Sign her up at her address (with her consent of course), sign up at your house, and (again with consent) maybe ask your parents and her parents if you can sign them up too. They won't come for a while, but every little bit helps. Sign up for clubs like Similac Club too, they send coupons regularly.
Email EVERY company you can think of that makes baby products. Literally just wander down the baby aisle and note company names and items you think she'd use. Even if you have a lot of coupons now, they will go fast once you start finding good deals! Keep the flow coming in.
If I were emailing, I'd personally pretend that it was me and not my cousin and say something like "I'm having my first baby and I've heard from others that your brand is the best because ____ and I was wondering if you have any coupons available for it because I'd really like to try it", or whatever you feel is a good letter :) They want to make you into a loyal customer.
Also look at safeway in their pharmacy, in one of the free magazines there there's a coupon for free wipes.
SDM has the best sales for J&J stuff, I got the full size bottles for 1.99 :) you can't beat that :) I also buy when diapers are on sale...use coupons & only buy where I can get something for it (ie reward program..sdm...sobeys..etc) I have redeemed for 100.00 worth of formula courtesy of shoppers!
