For the verification thing, you need to enter a cellphone number, preceeded by either "1" or "0" (can't remember, but there is an example there that tells you which one), and your area code.

You will get an SMS in seconds with a 4-digit code that you enter, and you are verified

I am pretty sure you can just try again, no need to wait for GH to fix anything, just go to your Order History, and it should say something like 'pending verification" or '"pending activation"
