"There's been some confusion," says Felicia Fefer, manager of public relations for Walmart Canada. "People may think we allow (stacking) because of what they see in the U.S., but we don't."

Just read this yesterday... it's actually about the US STORES cracking down (not manufacturers). Which totally makes sense cuz it's usually on the double coupon days that the stores offer when these people on the TLC show do their shopping. The store already has the item on sale, and they're paying the difference when they double the coupon? Of course they're losing money on that.
Most of us are just combining sales + coupons, so neither the store nor the manufacturer is losing out. Just my 2 cents

double couponing and extreme type coupon shopping has been going on since the 1970's in the states, this article is not that good as far as I read it,walmart is encouraging coupon use with the overage being given and full value of coupons. I went to Walmart CS the other day and asked about coupons she encouraged me to use rexall and all other competitors coupons I didn't have any at the time, there are so many stores getting on the band wagon,I remember wanting to coupon since a early 80's show that Ohpra did, that's why I looked it up in 2007 on the internet,I can't see it going away because of that show!

I love some of these comments.
And can you say "Outdated"? So many of the products that she has stockpiles of I wouldn't use in years!
That's why it HER stockpile and NOT yours! Obviously you build a stockpile that fits for your and your family.
These people are so uneducated!

I say good for them. Don't stockpile and don't use coupons! It just leaves more for the rest of us

Good for her to learn to save at such a young age. Sure there will be jealous people judging this article. I say always the company prints the coupon. The cost of ink and the cost of paper. Why not use them? My only concern is Cashiers have to be trained to take them.
Went to my local walmart for the first time since Christmas. Not my fun place to shop As I find their cashiers difficult. I could not pass up the paper towel sale. Plus we needed soup. The cashier asked where I got my soup coupon? In a mean manner. Is it from super store? It was clearly a big tear pad with a barcode, dates and still it was questioned. I do not keep track of where my coupons come from. But I knew for sure it was not super store. I had to just laugh and will not be shopping there often.

I thought I was doing well with using coupons - I'd never heard of stacking or doubling before yesterday (the day I joined here), lol! I guess I have lots to learn!

Ok .. I just read the article and some comments are SOOOO IGNORANT !! .. why ppl can't understand that as a Couponer we really check everything ... we do take our time to plan to buy things that we need and if we don't need it we TRADEEE !!
Why is ppl so against it ?? I don't have a job and im looking for one but in the mean time I'm not getting anything for FREE (well I'm thanks to coupons and this site), so PLS let me use my coupons and let me spent as little as possible and DONT JUDGE ME, they don't know what I have to go trhough to save some money for my family !
