I am thankful for this thread too, because when I think life sucks, I find encouragement and a safe haven here.
Always remember the What are you thankful for today? thread as there always is something to be thankful for.

I'm thankful that after 40 years I wouldn't change a thing about my hubby, and I thank God for bringing him into my life and being my Angel for all these years.
I wish you could all experience such love in your lives....

I am very thankful to be living in Canada, the greatest country in the world!
I am very thankful for Canada being very open to immigration - without that, I would not be here! My father came from Ukraine in 1929, at the age of nine - and my husband came from Eastern Europe in 1976.

I am SO thankful that my cat did not die on the highway today.
She is 14 years old, deaf as a stone, and I'm starting to think, senile too.
We went to fireworks and when we got home, she bolted out the door on me and into the darkness and wandered, (unbeknown to me) through the yard, down the path, down the driveway and onto the busy highway.
A few minutes later, I hear a "honk honk" and I look out and see my cat in the glare of headlights--completely oblivious and STILL meandering across the road into the other lane.
The first driver stopped and waited there, while cars are piling up him.
Cat was completely oblivious.
She has never done this before.
Thank you, thank you THANK YOU complete stranger driving the silver SUV for stopping for my cat AND for waiting for me to fish her off the road.
Thank you also Guardian angels of 4-legged creatures for watching over this one particular cat who is of HUGE sentimental value to me.
