LOL on the username!
Good advice on the wait a few seconds before answering. Doesn't always work but yes, it is worth a shot. I do that.

U can report numbers like that ! https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/index-eng I used to get so many telemarketers calling my house every few minutes. I too have recieved that call for the computer. I few people have complained about a man or women with heavy accent. I placed a compliant on the page listed above, they do what they can to track down these people and put a stop to it! I have since not received as many calls as i used too...

Wow great post. We usually get the one about the you have won a cruise. but i will definitely write my parents a note and leave it on the stove, not that they would give any info.

I heard about this scam and waited for the day for them to call me.
When they did call, I played the stupid person who knows nothing of computers. After about 20 minutes, he told me to go turn on my computer (which takes about 10 mins to boot). He asked me to go to Internet Explorer...I pretended to have difficulty finding it. He asked me to connect to the internet.
I said...internet?....I dont have internet....he hung up.
I must have wasted about 30min with him knowing full well what the call was about. My daughter was dumbfounded that I would go to such extent. Mind you, I rarely have 30 minutes spare time, but the timing of the call was great.

Someone called both our home and cell phones saying I won free air miles. My husband called air miles today and they said it's a scam. You can write down the number that called and report them.

some days I get 3-4 different scam numbers calling, but I refuse to give up MY phone number. I am just gonna let my 3 year old talk to them I think. Maybe that will get them to p off.
