just down the corner from my DIL, about 9:30 last night I was actually on the phone with her, we heard sirens..well it turns out a 6 yr old boy was hit by a car and passed away later at the hospital
, his name was Darius and he always said hi to Devon when he walked by. at the time this happened he was with his 10 yr old brother, he had no helmet on, and the driver though he did come to a complete stop because there was bushes he did not ease his way to make sure the way was clear, and where were the parents and why was a 6 yr old out at 9:30 on his bike, I feel so sad, speed or alcohol were not a factor

How heartbreaking. As a parent of a five year old boy, I can't imagine what that poor family is going through.

i can't imagine what those parents, the brother and rest of the family are going through right now. what a terrible thing to happen. so very sorry for their loss. unimaginable.

That is awful...
For some reason, our city has been having a higher number of car-pedestrian/biking accidents and fatalities as well.... it's seemingly senseless.
