I Just came from my local Metro - and was trying to buy 3 Knorr Sauce mixes (they weren't even on sale, I was just trying to use my coupon for B3G1Free). The cashier went to check with the supervisor, and she said, oh no, we don't take manufacturer coupons... I said, ok, then what kind of coupons do you take. And she said, sorry - I can't allow you to redeem it. So I told her to cancel my entire transaction... That will teach METRO!!!
I was so angered!!!

They took manufacturer coupons yesterday when my neighbour went
Call their HO and ask - probably that store just needs a reminder of their policy

I just left the Cornwall store. She was going to refuse a websaver coupon. She went to speak to the manager, she said they were no longer accepting printed coupon. I explained to her that I had no printed it, it was mailed to me. She allowed it.

I would be mad to, I haven't had a problem with Metro refusing my coupons, but then again I have yet to try anything but the ones I order online or get in the papers...

So far I have not had any problems in Metro and used a combination of tear pads and websaver's on the weekend. I would call to clarify, it sounds strange.

I would have cancelled my transaction to! I shop Metro weekly and never had a problem, the only printables I use there are from the metro site for bonus AM.

so sorry for you no-go transaction. seems very odd...Metro was one of the first stores to have all of the Toonie for Tummies coupons on shelves the week the promo started. AND as others mentioned, they have tons of SmartSource coupons in the store. I was just there Sunday and used a bunch of coupons. The only "printable" they'll take is their own...ie from Facebook or store website. Freshco used to be picky about websaver coupons but not anymore.

My local metro doesn't take printed internet coupons - only from their own website.
But manufacturer coupons.. no problem?!Wanna get prizes and gift cards just for surfing the web?http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/Tuktu60

I probably would have guided them to one of the many coupon pads throughout Metro and asked them what these were for if they don't accept mfg coupons lol maybe they are just for show!

Too bad about the non existent transaction, good for you for standing your ground and not just paying full price for them!
People are getting quite picky about coupons> I dont know metro stores, we dont have any around here, but maybe they need a reminder about their coupon policy!

metro and food basics should have the same policy for coupons cause they are owned by the same company. food basics will only take mfg and save.ca ones no others
