I saw Jays this morning, but she was in quite a hurry,
In fact she was so fast, my recollection is a little blurry,
She looked as lovely as ever, & I even heard her singing,
I know she was doing an inspirational song to help get bats a'pinging,
Jays should meet us for coffee or maybe for a dram of brew,

She is out & about & celebrating her birthday.

Happy Birthday to GoJays, didn’t the years rush by?
Do you wonder where the years went & did you ever run awry?
All those years ago, we didn’t instant message or tweet,
Our expectations were simple for it was our friends who made us complete,
I think of songs from our era & many of them about love & ideals,
Then came Cindy Lauper & Madonna; they put the “ high” in heels,
The Greatest Love of All & Addicted to Love by Robert Palmer,
The Walk of Life & Stuck with You by Huey Lewis made us feel calmer,
The Rolling Stones did the Harlem Shuffle & Phil, The Invisible Touch,
& The Glory of Love & Higher Love were on a station we called Much!
Level 42 said there was Something About You, it must be The Glory of Love,
All those Manic Mondays & all those thoughts from above,
There’s an old saying that ‘life is what you make it’,
I’m sure your birthday brings memories of how you did partake it,
You know __ years of adventures & through all twists & turns,
Acquiring years in your heart is bound to have its returns,
Happy Birthday Jays & I hope at least one wish comes true,
