I had chilled the dough before I made the balls and flattened them, but next time I'll try your tip of chilling them after, too.

This morning, I made Christmas medivnyk, a traditional honey cake. It's quite a dense cake, with a hint of spices - I like it, but my son just loves it.

I just took some spanakopita pie out of the oven. I've never made it before but it turned out fantastic.

did a trial run on an appetizer savory tart. Filled the shell with with baked/mashed butternut squash that was mixed with bits of caramelized onions and ground fresh herbs, To serve I am placing a small dollop of Greek yogurt mixed with Maple syrup! They are scrumptious!

OMG! I havent made honey cake in years! My dad kept bees so that was a staple cake at our house when i was growing up!

Did you check out Nat's baking? MY goodness that gal is talented.

I didn't get as much baking done this year as I have in previous years. The last thing I baked was sugar cookies. Today the plan is to roast a turkey. (& I don't mean my dh) In our house the sandwiches & casseroles are almost more popular than Christmas dinner.

lemon meringue pie is my absolute favourite!
once i made the lemon filling from scratch i could never go back to the sherrif's powdered stuff.
