And i also made Bran Muffins made with white sugar and oïl. They are ok, but kinda weird because Bran muffins are supposed to be dark in colour but these arent. The taste is ok.

Recipe for Peanut Butter Cookies
PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup margarine
1 cup sugar
1 cup Brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extrace
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
Cream peanut butter, margarine and sugars; blend in eggs and vanilla. Add flour sifted with baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix well. Form rouded teaspoons of dough into balls, place on ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten slightly, crisscross with a fork.
Bake at 350F oven for about 10-12 minutes. Makes 7 dozen cookies. Enjoy!
Cherry cheese danish pastry. Made minis (which we accidentally ate... whoops) and 1 long strudel-style one that I will cut into squares. Really easy, just cream cheese & sugar, puff pastry and cherry pie filling.
Also baked a triple batch of butterscotch bars. Didn't all fit into my 5 qt bowl so I had to triple and then split the recipe... that was a good test for the ol' math skills.
I baked pumpkin spice bars by betty crocker I got on clearance for 1.90 + -50% ea. bag at Atlantic Superstore. They are yummy
I made white chocolate cupcakes with maple frosting...they were yummy

Did up 4 apple blossoms, used 2 Spartan and 2 " mystery apples " Shoved a few dried cranberries in the centres, sprinkled each with a mixture of cane sugar/cinnamon/nutmeg and a dollop of butter. Wrapped them up in their individual circles of Dr. Oetker pastry. aghh!! the smell is wonderful in here.
I made a spice walnut cake this week for a birthday potluck. It's a recipe from the 1967 Laura Secord cookbook that I haven't made in years. I've resolved to make it more often.
In the last week I have baked 3 different recipes with our 3yr old son.
1x banana bread
1x double batch of banana oatmeal chocolate chip cookies (which I baked in a 9x13" pan)
1x oatmeal breakfast squares (this is a recipe that I found in August. It was originally a type of oatmeal squares, but I have altered it to make it healthier and it has really changed the taste and texture of the recipe. I replaced all of the butter with unsweetened apple sauce, replaced the flour with whole wheat flour, and reduced the sugar by half (3/4c in 9x13" pan). It also has oatmeal, dried cranberries, raisins, and pecans.
here is my recipe for doggy treats. Turn oven on at 6:00 a.m. Make recipe for peanut butter/banana muffins ( humans version ) but eyeball the ingredients instead of accurately figuring out how to modify 2 recipes into one. Now cut down on the sugar added because you want to try to keep them healthier.
Taste one after they are baked and squish up your face at the tasteless ( not sweet at all? ) thing in your mouth. Call the dogs over ( who am I kidding? they were watching me the whole time ) and offer them each some. They loved them!
Good, instant doggy treats.
Also good I baked them in cheap TOU slot. Ugh!! tomorrow I will try again.
shortbread cookies.
I just pulled out my 1967 Purity Cookbook to deal with Christmas baking. I think Lynn posted these http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/v...ies-bites.html and I immediately bookmarked it and got a tissue to wipe the drool from my chin, but I realize I don't have any of the ingredients in the house and once I costed it out...well one thing I can say about the Purity cookbook is that everything in there is dirt cheap to make. So I am going retro for Xmas, which will be hermits (raisins, dates, walnuts, and I'll add candied peel, allspice, nutmeg) and molasses drops (molasses, cinnamon, ginger, cloves). The other one I am looking at is boiled raisin cookies they call Jumbo Raisin Cookies ("drop by the teaspoonful") lol (raisins, walnuts, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice).
I might do the Crosby Molasses ginger spice molasses cookies though http://www.crosbys.com/wp-content/up...014-e-book.pdf because I think these are the right ones ;) they don't have cloves in them.
Last baked: banana bread with mace with minced candied orange peel on top, because I'm in the holiday spirit.
Shortbread Cookies & Chocolate Chip Cookies.
