Just as an FYI, for anyone who has a child with nut allergies, I recently learned that Scor chips (even the ones at Bulk Bark) contain ground almonds and are manufactured in a plant where cross-contamination with peanuts could occur.
I was about to use them in cookies for our Grandson, but checked first thank goodness, so no Scor cookies for him.
Just thought I'd mention it because honestly, I couldn't have guessed that Hershey's Scor Toffee Bits contain nuts.

I received the family recipe for shortbread cookies, which my aunt requested that I bake for Christmas. I did my best and she was happy with the result. She is currently recovering from her second cancer surgery, but they think they got it all this time.
I also baked banana oatmeal cranberry cookies, so give a healthier option.
I had requests for a few other recipes, but I ran out of time and I ran out of some ingredients.Help me out with Swagbucks and we can both earn gift cards and PayPal money

Baked an apple crisp for my son today, though I took out a little tasting corner, lol! Husband took it for him, along with other food and groceries.
This is the first thing I've baked since I was in hospital, well even farther back than that because I got sick in the summer.... Only other thing I made was puffed wheat cake last week, but my husband was home to help do the mixture on the stove.
Oh. I miss baking! I've had sweets since I got home, but all store bought...

I caved and peeled, cored and sliced the kinda sad looking remaining apples and pears that were left in the crisper.
Mixed them all together with brown sugar, cinnamon, sprinkle of flour, a few pecans and some cranberries.
Made the pastry up ( Dr Oteker ) lining the bottom of my favourite deep dish white ceramic pie plate, dumping in the filling and topping it with the other crust.
I've been watching way too many old episodes of Martha Bakes on tv so for a moment I FELT just as accomplished and gleeful as she does when she bakes.
Anyhow, there is now a cooked pie to eat in my kitchen.....
