Last thing you baked?

I shouldn't have but DH is on his remaining 2023 vacation days so I took 3 small food saver bags filled with apples ( washed, cut in wedges ) from the deep freeze. These were processed from our tree in maybe 2019? It's been a while. Made up a 9 x 13 pan of Deep Dish Apple Crisp/Graham Cracker Topping.....Oh my it was superb! The apples were extra tart and that topping is divine. One of his new favourite desserts.

The last thing I cooked was an imitation of KFC wings, but they didn't turn out as spicy as I thought.

Oatmeal, coconut, apple and carrot muffins. Just had 2 for breakfast.

I am overrun with Blueberries, I have a Costco bag in the Freezer plus my Mom's friend gave her 2 medium freezer bags with blueberries her brother picked in the summer. Plus they have been in sale so I have grabbed some fresh ones. One of my fresh packs needs to be used up so I made a Crustless Blueberry Pie.

tried to make it through a bunch of 5 bananas but couldn't finish before 2 started to brown. Made 3 mini banana loaves and had them for a visit from my ex sis in law

I had a piece of provolone cheese leftover from Christmas and found this recipe....so..... they're in the oven now.

I used the oven so I guess that was baking?! I wanted to try something different with a bone-in pork shoulder. I used our own spice blend so I can't comment on the spices in the original recipe. My main goal was to test the cooking method for the crispy skin and the recipe worked but I will need to do some adjustments because everyone's ovens are different.

I realized after starting to mix the cake batter that I did NOT have any Pineapple rings, just some canned tidbits. Peach halves to the rescue! 1 can of peach halves gave me 6 halves and I punched a hole in each to drop a maraschino cherry into.
Then added canned drained clementines, pineapple tidbits and 2 small fruit cups. This turned out even tastier than our usual upside down cake.

DH's Date Squares. Request was to buy some today if I was going out.....blecht! Had these ones baked up before 7 a.m. today. There is never an un-messy way to eat one....lol Crumbs go everywhere.
