homemade granola bar recipe #3 that used peanut butter, honey, and brown sugar. Naturally, they turned out a whole lot sweeter than previous bars I'd made, so they were a hit with the kids...but not such a hit with the waist line. LOL.

They were! I had to freeze them desperately quick because they kept falling apart on me and that meant that I had *had* to eat the broken ones. LOL. So slapped them in the freezer. It's a little more work to go to if I want to nibble--and that keeps the nibbling at bay. LOL.

Oh yum yum yum. I made black bean brownies for the first time a few months ago. I never would've thought you could make something so freakin tasty with black beans before! They were so awesome. But my family was sucky about it. They knew the brownies were made with black beans and that made them biased against them. I should've baked them on the sly and not said anything. Bet they never would've noticed.

*sigh* Peanut butter. I could eat that right out of the jar by the tablespoon. Honest to goodness.

I've never heard of black bean brownies, gonna google a recipe & try & trick the family. These are the cookies I made for my dd's 6th birthday, 6 going on 16! Sorry pic is so big, don't know how to make it smaller!

Hmmm, everything sounds so good, I'm gonna google those black bean muffins too, amybe I can pull a sneaky on the grandchildren, lol. On sunday I baked 4 loaves of bread and 2 apple pies. Gave all the bread to one of my dd's that came for supper, so tomorrow I'm back to baking some more bread, I didn't even have a slice to make dh some toast this morning oh well, amybe some banana bread too.....

Apple streusel muffins are currently in the oven.

I haven't made these in years. Can't remember if they are good or not. But I filled the cups too full and the sugar and butter topping is bubbling all over the pan. *sigh* It's gonna SUCK to clean that up.

Tonight was banana muffins. After last night's bubbly sticky oven disaster, I figured it was better to go with what you know.

Also have a batch of homemade granola bars in the oven. This is recipe #4. I made these ones with dried cherries and chocolate. Believe me, it's gonna take every ounce of restraint that I have to not rip into them when they're done.

I really enjoy making my own granola bars. They are much healthier and I can be creative with them and use what ingredients happen to tickle my fancy. I think batch #5 is gonna have some dried blueberries this time. hmmm....now what would go great with blueberries?
