I made this Saturday night, its super yummy...I made ahead in the morning and baked in the evening...this is the recipe I follow (but I don't usually bother with all the herbs) butter & parm cheese is usually good enough with marinara sauce (and Kraft Parm melted in the butter works well too) ...I've made several times, good sprinkled with bacon bits as well.

I made the sausage rolls on the weekend. Cooked Johnsonville breakfast sausages (without the casings), made some scrambled eggs, saute finely diced mushrooms, cook some bacon strips, then i roll 1 sausage, a bit of scrabled egg, a bit of mushroom, a bit of bacon bits and lots of cheese. Rolled them, brushed with egg then bake in the oven. They were good! Thanks for sharing the recipe.

Bought some pre-made Puff pastry and 2 pkgs. Johnsonville breakfast sausages and made my own.
Cut them into an adorable 1" long size ( perfect for eating many! ) set them on a sheet to freeze, then bagged them up.

I've never made these before so a handy Google search gave me the heads up to remove the sausage casings and don't brush the egg wash over them until you're ready to bake them.

I baked up a few for us to sample and everyone gave them the thumbs up!! So simple, I will probably not bother with store bought anymore.

    https://www.jennycancook.com/recipes...s-pecan-balls/

This morning I made sure I had all the ingredients on hand. Check and check! Mmm, I've never toasted my pecans before, so this will be extra yummy!.
Well...they are delicious!! Just finished doing the second powdering.
Toasting the pecans first made such a difference! ( packed with flavour )
Cannot believe this is 4 dozen.

A crusty artisan-style hearth loaf, shaped as a batard and steam-baked free-standing without a pan, with ~80/20% AP / whole wheat flour plus an Easter European combination of poppy seeds and buckwheat.

@flemeth I know walnuts are my DH go to nut, but I prefer pecans. Hope your cookies come out just as melt in your mouth as these did. I simply HAD to make one of those blueberry/lemon loaves....Oh brother! Too many goodies...although not really a bad thing I suppose...heh hee.

@walkonby - This looks to die for! Where is this frugal thread you posted in - and did you post the recipe? I love lemon and adore blueberries but have never had the 2 together.

Just saw your post! Go to jennycancook.com ( Jenny Jones has so many delicious recipes ) AND a killer sense of humour with comedic timing to boot!

Here is the loaf recipe! By the way I never made the glaze, it was delicious and sweet enough on its own.

The Blueberry/Lemon loaf looks delicious! I have so many frozen blueberries from this summer to this would be a great recipe.

Right now, in the oven i have a Cherry Pound Cake baking. I love a Cherry Pound cake during Christmas and i cant find it in any of the grocery stores. So i started baking my own. Recipe will follow.
