Love Auburn Hills! We stayed there when we went to a Lions/Packers game on a Wedneday night, then a Piston's game the next night, then shopped 'til we dropped on Black Friday! We're thinking of going back to Michigan this fall...but to kennel our Jenny??! She's just a baby....

You're just determined to get your paws on her, aren't you? LOL!!
Right now there's something wrong...she's "gulping" quite a bit..tries to settle down, then the gulping unsettles her..I'm so scared and had a nightmare about her last night (when this started)....we'll take her to her vet on Monday if this continues....is Hamilton on our route to Michigan?

Maybe be too hot my mom dog gets like that......try a popsicle and see if it settles it. Second option something a little stuck so try maybe a potatoe to help it go down. I am not sure if I am on the way I am a hermit get your gps out lol

I thought it was a piece of one of those whitish chew chips that she managed to gnaw off and it got stuck in her throat, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I googled this condition and it seems quite prevalent in some dogs, and I kept reading suggestions about acid reflux...so we gave her a 1/2 Zantac, and a while later it had stopped. Coincidence? Who knows...but when and if it happens again, we'll try it again....It was such a worry!! We have ice cubes of chicken stock that she loves to have outside

I think we might stick close to home this summer...she's such a baby, I can't imagine her in a kennel or giving anyone else the problem of having a pup who only wants to fall asleep on a lap! Perhaps next year.....We'll see...
