I enter a few dailies that FB contests (or coupon/frugality) persons post - opening 5-10 new Web site pages ... maybe a few a week on paper/pen/one entry contests ... and random dailies if I really want to 'win' ... but the more you enter, the more often you win. So, I have had a horrible month. My furnace line froze, leaking humidifier water into the basement overnight and destroying the carpet/bottom foot of drywall. My fridge broke, leaking water all over my new laminate flooring. My transmission went, three months after my extended warranty expired. Finally, my husband went to Toronto for four days, and once he was gone a snowstorm hit and we got 30 plus cm of snow within two days.
The plus side? In the past week, I won $100 from Leon's, a hair product prize package from chickadvisor.ca that ended up being worth nearly $100, and I just got an email saying I won a Kraft Philadelphia gift basket from a blog context I entered.
A furnace repair guy came to fix the furnace for free, Sears is covering the fridge/floor damage under their insurance, and my car dealership fixed the car, and paid for the part at no cost to me. Goodbye horrible November, Hello December!

Last week I won a $100 giftcard from Sobeys and a Jamie Oliver cookbook. Yesterday I won a blanket from The Brick and a dress from Cleo. Today I won a box of Angus steaks!! Still waiting for a big win :)
