My partner won the bigger stuff like vouchers to the keg restaurant, modem, router, t-shirts, computer and software, etc... :excited:

I only won a $10 star bucks gift card, cinema tickets ( from work a couple of years ago), won $600 jackpot at the casino and this year won a digital tv converter from shaw.

Wish I could win some baby and mum stuff now as I am expecting a baby in a week or so, well anytime. :flowers:

Hey Everyone!

Because of you guys and the answers that you posted, I am last week's winner of TripCentral.ca's Daily Trip Trivia Challenge. The trip is for a week, and is an all-inclusive package at the Melia Cayo Guillermo in Cayo Coco, Cuba. :shock:

The only thing I'm being asked to pay for is departure taxes. I've been sent some reservation and information forms which I need to fax back this week and I've been informed that my tickets will be electronic tickets, delivered to me via e-mail, a week prior to my departure date. Call me paranoid, but I'm just used to getting receipts for everything and having tangible tickets. The site seems reputable enough though, so I'm not sure.

Bottom line is that I've never won a trip through a contest before, so I guess I'm wondering if all of this is normal? Like... what is the typical procedure for something like this and what sort of questions should I be asking/what should I be on the lookout for?

Anyways, thanks again to all the contest posters and I hope to see you all around on the forums. :biggrin:

This is a fairly normal procedure. I have won two trips in the last little while and both were like that-pay the taxes and get an e ticket. Your visa statement is record of payment so you are covered-Congratulations on a fantastic win!!!!

Wow congrats! I noticed you just joined this month, must be awesome to win already! :)

Things to look out for? travel insurance, make sure your shots are up to date for traveling to other countries.
