I would be uncertain too... In my experiences they send a form for you to fill out, and it's signed "the independent contest organization".... I would think they would put the name of the company, and the name of the person representing them! Just my thoughts!
I haven't seen this before ....."in order to ensure your eligibility is not delayed" or a winning notification signed by "independent contest organization" because they usually give the name of the contest organizer's company. Another thing I have not seen is "if for any reason you will not be responding to this email please notify us". in other words "if for any reason you will not be responding please respond"? lol That is odd as they usually just d/q you if you don't respond.
I just received an email saying I won a bottle of Idylle by Guerlain from the Lou Lou Beauty Lottery! I also won another bottle of Fanta from the Orville Redenbacher Pop & Win contest. :-)

I entered a sweepstakes online after following a link from this site, and I just got a card in the mail today telling me that I have won a prize worth $5,950. What makes me a skeptical is that it does not tell me what I've won, and that I ave seven days to call a toll free number in order to claim my prize.
The site that I entered on is www.seasonsvacationclub.com ; it looks like I may have been one of their "2nd place winners" who receive "a one week vacation package" at a timeshare, but it also looks like I would have to pay a "nominal maintenance fee" of $699 (but I can surrender ownership at any time without penalty).
I'm not going to call; I've been suckered into answering promotions like this before, only to have to hang up on pushy salespeople trying to sell me a timeshare. Everyone out there entering into these kind of draws, read the fine print!! If you win anything you should not have to put any money up front just to claim your prize.
Sorry to tell you but you have to PAY for this prize...
Got that too, and called...and it's a time-share type of thing. It was about 6 months ago, but I vaguely remember them saying you stay free, a lifetime membership at certain resorts, BUT you pay a yearly amount etc.
Sounds like something to generate business at certain hotels to me! I joined, then cancelled when I got the package in the mail and read it all.... then called....once they said you had to pay 300$ or whatever it was each year....knew I hadn't really won.
Future Shop / Fuji Test Drive 2 Win - looked at Fuji camera in FS, got my PIN and just won $50 gc from Future Shop.
woohoo super excited and it really made my day...well my last few weeks...I won the gift card and stuff that patiofurniture1 was giving away for voting for her in the contests! first thing i have won since i started!
